Concludo il set di riprese lunari del 1° gennaio 2023, con questa immagine che ritrae la parte Nord degli Appennini lunari centrata sulla famosa “Rima Hadley” accanto la quale è allunato il LEM (Lunar Excursion Module) della navicella Apollo 15, nella notte tra il 30 ed il 31 luglio 1971 (esattamente alle 22:16:29 GMT del 30 luglio).
Sulla destra dell’immagine, che ritrae tutta la zona a grande campo, ho inserito 4 riquadri zoomati sempre più sulla zona di allunaggio dei quali i primi due sono estratti dalla mia immagine a largo campo, mentre gli ultimi due sono dei cut della zona fotografata dal Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) in cui, nell’ultimo riquadro in basso, è visibile il LEM con la sua ombra e le tracce lasciate dal rover lunare, tutte intorno.

Here to you the last lunar image from the set of January 1, 2023, that portrays the northern part of the lunar Apennines centered on the famous “Rima Hadley” next to which the LEM (Lunar Excursion Module) of the Apollo 15 spacecraft landed on the night between on July 30th and 31st 1971 (exactly at 22:16:29 GMT of July 30th).
On the right of the image, which portrays the whole area in a wide field, I have inserted 4 boxes zoomed more and more on the moon landing area, of which the the first two are extracted from my wide field image, while the last two are cuts of the area photographed by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) in which, in the last box below, the LEM is visible with its shadow and the traces left from the lunar rover, all around.
